Alert! There's been a change of plans over how tomorrow's blogathon is going to work. Originally I was going to upload one "Contributions" page each and every day of the blogathon so that participants could post their links right here on my website. But then I realized that this would make it difficult to keep track of all of your submissions--and it would be a pity if I were to accidentally miss something, or forget to include something.
So, here's how it's going to work. Let's just make it simple: go ahead and email me links to your submissions.
Again, rather than post links on this website, just go ahead and send them to me via email. That way no submissions will be getting left behind. I have already gotten emails from a couple of you, and it looks like this is by far the most efficient way to organize how pieces will be included.
Just another reminder: the mission of the blogathon is decide whether or not Huston qualifies as an auteur of cinema. If you don't think so, please feel free to speak up!
And man, I know it's one of Huston's worst movies, but I just feel like singing:

Mine should come over the weekend. Can't wait. I just received my copies of UNDER THE VOLCANO and PRIZZI'S HONOR...THE DEAD is also on my desktop waiting to be watched.
ReplyDeleteAll in good time, Kevin. I'm still waiting for my own copy of The Dead to arrive in the mail--I had to buy a used copy off Amazon! That's how hard it is to find a DVD of that film, I suppose.
